Comments:I had been looking forward to trying one of their bowls, and it certainly lived up to my expectations. The mahi-mahi was beautifully prepared, with a delicate crispness on the outside while remaining exceptionally moist and tender within. The refried beans were equally enjoyable, with a wonderfully smooth consistency and excellent flavor. The seasoning throughout was well balanced yet never overpowering. My only minor critique would be the tortilla bowl, which I found slightly oilier than I would have preferred. That said, it was noticeably freshly fried and complemented the dish nicely. Overall, a thoughtfully prepared and thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Comments: This drink was not quite what I had envisioned, beginning with its appearance, which lacked the vibrant, layered hues one would naturally associate with a “sunrise.” From the description, I had anticipated a refreshing, citrusy, fruit punch with bright, natural flavors. Instead, the flavor leaned more toward that of a powdered fruit drink and was a touch sweeter than I personally prefer.

Comments: Hubby, a notoriously tough rater, found this bowl a touch too spicy for his liking. He also noted that he would have preferred the rice to be softer and more tender. The salad, however, was a definite highlight and something he thoroughly enjoyed.
The Experience
Once again, we ordered through the website, and our food was warm and ready precisely on time. I have thoroughly enjoyed what I have tried from Talkin’ Tacos so far, particularly the freshness of the food. Everything tastes freshly prepared, and there is a sense of care and intention behind what they serve. I also have to mention their branding. I love their logo and the attention to detail in carrying it throughout their to-go packaging, it gives everything a cohesive and thoughtfully presented feel. A pleasant discovery was their rewards program: orders placed through the website earn points that can eventually be redeemed for food, which is certainly a nice incentive to order directly. So far, Talkin’ Tacos has left a very favorable impression, and I look forward to exploring more of their menu.
