French Cuisine

“Daily SpecialMain Course: Halibut (Sautéed mushrooms, asparagus, and sauce)

Price: Unknown

Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Flavor: 10/10

Comments: Delicious Halibut. The fish was cooked to perfection, and it paired so well with the sauce. However, the best thing about this dish was the mushrooms. Their saltiness and seasoning filled your mouth with flavor and brought the dish together. The asparagus was tender without losing its freshness. Great portion size, and the server mentioned this fish arrived from Alaska that same day, a testament to the quality of the ingredients.

Appetizer: La Soupe Du Jour (Potato Leek Soup)

Price: $15

Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Flavor: 10/10

Comments: I was blown away by this soup. It was incredibly creamy and full of flavor. I wished I had more.

Appetizer: Les Escargots De Bourgogne (Parsley, garlic, and butter)

Price: $19

Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Flavor: 9/10

Comments: This was my first time trying escargots, and I was pleasantly surprised to enjoy them. Flavor was delivered, though I felt it could have benefited from a hint of citrus.

“Weekly Special” Appetizer: Gout Cheese Salad (Belgian endive, arugula, and chives dressing)

Price: $25

Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Flavor: 10/10

Comments: My favorite part was the dressing. It had the most magnificent and unique flavor. The cheese was a great addition with its crispy crust and warm interior.

Appetizer: La Salade Caesar (Anchovies, Garlic Dressing, and Parmesan Chips)

Price: $16

Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Comment: I didn’t get the chance to try this salad, but it was quickly enjoyed by my dining companions.

Dessert: Chocolaté mousse cakes

Price: Unknown

Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Flavor: 9/10

Comments: The execution of this cake was excellent, though it did not blow me away. I wished it had a richer chocolate flavor and more pronounced notes of pistachio.

Dessert: Créme brulé (Madagascar vanilla bean)

Price: Unknown

Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Flavor: 10/10

Comments: A star at the table. I have recently tried Créme brulés from different places, and none came close to this one. Simply perfect.

Dessert: Traditional Alsatian apple tarté

Price: Unknown

Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Flavor: 10/10

Comments: A tart that is crispy yet not hard. It was not overly sweet, leaving you wanting more after each bite. It had a perfect apple taste, so well complemented by the sauce. The sauce tasted homemade, and if I were to guess, I would say it was a mix of strawberry and white chocolate.

Dessert: Profiteroles (Vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce)

Price: Unknown

Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐½

Flavor: 10/10

Comments: Although I was not blown away by the looks of them, they delivered on the taste. The puff pastry was executed to perfection, crisp throughout yet soft. Each bite of pastry, ice cream, and chocolate danced together in your mouth. It was a favorite at the table.

Dessert: Napoléon

Price: Unknown

Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Flavor: 10/10

Comments: This was delicious. The mix of pastry, cream, and fresh strawberries was exceptional. I kept reaching for more.

The Experience

This restaurant is one of a kind, probably the best I have visited so far. The servers were so kind and attentive. The chef came out to get our feedback on the food and even played a piano piece toward the end of the night. The restaurant also has a fantastic variety of wines. My favorite drink of the night was a glass of Pinot Grigio Villa Rocca 2022, Veneto. Overall, I had an exceptional time, made even better by great company. I cannot wait to be back and have my loved ones get a taste of this restaurant’s greatness. Tradition is a gem in disguise.
