Cuban Cuisine

Menu Item: Pizza hawaiana
Price: $11
Presentation: ⭐⭐⭐½
Flavor: 8/10
Comments: Yes! I did eat this pizza folded, as every Cuban should 😉. The ham tasted fresh, probably some of the best I’ve ever had on a Cuban pizza, and I’ve tried many. The pineapple was at the perfect level of ripeness, not overly sweet, but not sour either. The cheese was good. The pizza dough itself tasted undersalted and was on the drier side, which really affected the overall flavor. I really wish the pizza had had more of that well-rounded, burned crust. A great bonus is that it wasn’t overly greasy, like most Cuban pizzas you find in South Florida.
Menu Item: Crema Aurora
Price: $6
Presentation: ⭐⭐
Flavor: 7.5/10
Comments: The taste was good, but the cream tasted undersalted or as if something was missing. I have tried better.

Menu Item: Pizza guayaba y queso
Price: $10
Presentation: ⭐⭐
Flavor: 7/10
Comments: Very interesting. I enjoyed it, but I would only eat a slice as dessert, not a whole pizza. At first glance, it looks like a cheese pizza. I wish there had been some guava on top to make it more easily identifiable. Most of the guava was also concentrated toward the center, and I wish it had been distributed more evenly throughout, as some slices barely had any guava. The dough was on the drier side.
I was really looking forward to trying this place. I know they’re new to the area and make their pizzas from scratch. I’m always on the hunt for the best Cuban pizza, but I have yet to find one that truly takes me home. We ordered online and had the pizzas delivered through doordash. The process was smooth, though I wish the pizzas and cream had been hotter upon arrival. Even so, I’d gladly order from them again.
